    Hey

im after getting abit more power out of my E46 323

now i think the best way to do this will be to use M3 parts to save on cost and reliabliity.. What parts on the M3 will benifit my 323?

i was thinking e46 m3 throttle bodies - will i need all the m3 airflow meters too? am i best buying a full m3 intake system from air filter to the engine and everything inbetween?

will a e46 6speed m3 gearbox fit? will this give me better accleration? will it work with the 323 clutch?

e46 m3 lsd, is this a straight swap also?

once all the parts have been fitted it will be getting a remap so it runs well and so i can get it to rev more

open to ideas on the best way to tune this car as i deffinatly want more!

First of all, the m3 bits will cost a bit of money, and even more to get the 323 to run with them, You can get a 2.8 (M52TUB28) engine and fit it in your car for less! its the same engine as the m52tub25 that the 323 uses, only its a stroked version, and all the electrics and parts will fit straight on, even the standard ecu will run the engine, all you need to do is re flash the ecu to the 2.8 program, if you want to after that you can remap it and have around 205 bhp!, you will be lucky to get 185bhp from the 323 with out forced induction or masses of money!
get the m sport gearbox, 6 speed and i think the m3 rear diff is different , but don't hold me to that!

Yes, all E46 M52 engines are double Vanos.

M3 throttle bodies definitely won't fit.
