    Hi
I brought an M50 manifold upgrade for my previous 323i but never got round to fitting it and never sold it with the car so im thinking of fitting it to my 528i. Ive read about VANOS engines and from what i can make out i think mine has it. If so is it still possible to fit the m50 manifold? Im also curious about the big bore throttle body (bbtb), does the 528i already have this fitted?

Also im thinking of fitting some other upgrades inc induction kit, map, exhaust etc has anyone any ideas as to the kind of bhp figures id be expecting for these fitted (sorry if this has been asked before :S), ohh and i also ready that m3 "cams" can also be fitted for a little extra umph?

    Any help would be fantastic
    Cheers
    Arron

What year is your 528? If it's pre 98 you should have the single vanos engine which is ok for the conversion. If it's 99 onwards it's probably the dual vanos which can't be done. From your heading, it sounds like it's the dual vanos version that can't be done

For the the engine you have m52tub28, you can use the inlet mani off a 530 or 330 (m54b30 engine). You will need a adaptor plate for the throttle body and thats about it. Very good mod for the money i did it to my 2000 528i sport.
