Hi people, hope all is well in the world of bimmers!

I have recently been told the mid section to the exhaust is slowly deteriating, i have the standard single pipe factory exhaust system at the mo. I thought i mite as well purchase a twin pipe sports exhaust but have trouble finding the correct one.

I dont want the noise to be too load and deffining but then it must have a fruity sound any ideas on what exhaust i should get? I also do not have a huge budget for this, say around 200 or 300 max...i know thats not much but i dont have much cash given the current climate

Also if anyone knows any good exhaust garages in the south east region where i can get the fitting done or even purchase the exhaust.

thanks a lot guys, advice is always appreciated

speak to motechmike who is one of our forum vendors and ask him for advice on the Scorpion exhausts that he sells.

I swear by Scorpion and would not use anything else but my concern is the fact that you state "cannot be too loud" This is hard to define as it's a matter of opinion as to what is "TOO LOUD"

motechmike offers forum members discount and I'm sure the rear section with twin STW exits will fall well within your budget

on a similar note, im also looking into getting a set of twins, but how difficult is it to cut into the bumper to allow for the extra pipe?

You can get a twin exit diffuser which replaces the rear bottom valance

i had m3 downpipe put on. the middle box removed and a straight pipe put in from cat to back box which was new nice purr but not too loud and the cat is still in just a single exit at the back it pulls well with m3 downpipe . this is just the downpipe not the manifolds. as they wouldn fit. its nice sound not a drowning noise . i could take some pics if you emaill at spatacus1@hotmail.co.uk give me yours i will show you what i did. my car is same as yours
