    Hi there,

    I'm looking to increase the power of my bmw 318i cabriolet. could i have some suggestions and with that how much you expect the power to increase ?

    Can't really do much mate without dropping another lump in there. The 8v engine can't really make more power. What you can do is try breathing mods like, exhuast/decat, air filter and just generally give it a service including fuel filter

    well i'm not talking huge power gains, i live in the channel islands and the speed limitt is 35mph... thats not to say it doesn't get brokn but i was interested in increasing the performance a little.. i'd stick a new lum in if i could source one.. it's hard being stuck on a rock. im going for a slammed euro look mre looks than speed anyway, just wantd peoples thoughts.

    i've got the same engine in my cab too mate, performance hasn't really bothered me as a cab is made for cruising I've got a megane 225 if I want to be somewhere quick.

    Decat pipe would increase the grunt by abit, something I might look into but it'll be a hassle come MOT time.

    lucky i don't have MOT here... , almost any modificatino is legal
