Sorry I didn't clarify properly - LPG doesn't escape emissions testing - but the cats don't make any difference to emissions when running on LPG, so is ok to remove them.

I've signed up to the Brum meet but not 100% can make it - will defo try though. I hope there's a B10 BiTurbo there (fat chance!)

The cats on the big V8's are huge! I broke a 530 V8 last year and had lots of money for them. They are stupidly restrictive and should see your car up around the 300hp mark I would think. As its a 7 im guessing its going to be an auto. I spoke with a few chaps in Germany last year when I started converting my e30 to a V8. The best modification for performance was to ditch the massive and heavy dual mass and plump for a lightened single mass flywheel and clutch. Two people both confirmed that it alters the characteristics of the engine so much that the engine would need a remap. Quite impressive I thought.
Anyway this doesnt help you at all. Just a query do you think your car is producing the correct power it should be at present?
My old e32 740 I used to think went very well. Until one day I serviced it, found a tidy sized split just after the afm, fixed serviced, new plugs etc. Got rid of the oil from the spark plug holes that these engines are so prone to and I genuinly couldnt believe the difference in performance. Oh and MPG.

MMmm - would love to have a bit more of a rumble on my 545 .... how far can it go before the MOT becomes a problem and also still avoiding having a car that 'drones' inside which is aweful at motorway speeds?

Just a follow-up to my earlier post above on LPG emissions, this link clears up the confusion (eventually):
