    Hey you guys,

Just got hold of an after market Hersteller back box for my E36 328i convertible. I was assured it would fit my car but haven't yet checked brackets etc.
My main concern is the little device that is connected to the tail pipe on the existing back box (some kind of valve that operates at different RPM) I believe?????? What should I do with this device? Is it detremental to the cars performance with the new back box??

    Thanks in advance.

Pull off the vaccuum pipe, and plug it up with a gold-tee or a screw, and bobs ya uncle

As long as the pipe is sealed up, you'll have no problems !
