I bought a new exhaust for my car, which cost me a pretty penny, and it's not really as loud as I'd expected.
I chose it based on having a nice sound, not for all out noise, but it's very very quiet...makes less noise than the other exhaust I had on there, and strangely enough there is only soot in one of the tailpipes.
I'm aware that there is a bedding in process, but I've covered 300 miles and really all I can hear is engine.
If it wasn't for the increase in power I'd put the old one back on (it was a Simons exhaust and it howled and was raspy, which in retrospect I'm really missing!)
The soot in one pipe only is the thing that bugs me...doesn't seem right, but them the company I bought it from hand make their exhausts and supply some top German tuners, so it also doesn't seem right that they'd make a mistake in manufacturing it.
