Having owned many turbo cars in the past I have always ran with decatted exhausts etc, my question is, are the cats majorly restrictive on the 535? also the backbox, is that also restrictive as im guessing BMW have made it as quiet and refined as possible? Is it beneficial to replace the backbox with free flowing one?

    Many Thanks

The original system is bound to be restrictive, i would go for sports cats instead of decatting personally as this generally helps retain some torque, you should see an improvement be replacing the back box just not as much as if you do a whole system, the other benefit of aftermarket is weight saving as oe systems are usually pretty heavy!
