it's a very straight forward diy mate, just google asc delete
I also open up the ASC body to suit

Bbtb means a bigger bore throttle body.

The ASC unit is a secondary throttle body that closes when the wheels detect slip. Also known as traction control

Its ok mate don’t worry. Right, asc (active stability control) is a type of traction control. When it senses wheelspin it cuts the power to the engine just enough to maintain grip, and you get an orange flashy triangle on your dash to tell you to calm down. It works by having another throttle body (the asc throttle body) sitting just upstream of the main throttle body, which the ecu closes slightly to cut power. In effect it’s the same as lifting your right foot slightly. There’s loads of info on this online, including the pro’s and con’s of removing the asc throttle body, google is your man!

Bbtb (big bore throttle body), this is part of the kit sold by alpina527, speak to him I’m sure he’ll expain everything for you.

By “I open up the asc body to suit”, he means he can supply an asc throttle body with a bigger bore, as well as a main throttle body with a bigger bore. The whole point of doing this m50 manifold & bbtb is to get more air into the engine, especially at higher revs, by enlarging everything the air has to pass through before reaching the cylinders. So a larger main throttle body would be pointless if you retained the airflow restriction of the original (smaller) asc body. As I understand the guy, if you buy his kit you will get an m50 mani, a bigger throttle body, and a bigger asc throttle body, plus all the bits to make it fit obviously.

It looks like Santorini Blue to me. It's a BMW individual colour so pretty rare.

Just found reciept out from when it was new there was a phone number and address from the owner who was the 2nd owner the story goes the 1st owner was sammy mcilroy the Northern Irish former international footballer and then bmw brought the car back fro him and there it sat in the show room untill a man called gary clay brought it for 17k he owned the car for about 5 years and spent even more money on the car by putting all the other extras on it at 45k unfortunatley the engine started to smoke and burn oil so he took the car back and had all this sorted by haveing a new block the car has now coverd 112k but really the engine has only done half off this its had the ECU remaped and has a full exhaust system and filter the car pulls like new still and has a full bmw service history happy days
