    Ya i think it has to been maped because it revs over 7k and pulls like a train after 5k know who your on about just phoned him lol he knows what hes talking about hopefully takeing my car to him as getting him to fit it :( as im a little thick like that lol

    they all beat me to it. yep thats a standard m52 mate. alpina527 sells a complete kit you can fit yourself without too much messing about. I've been meaning to get one myself but a bit strapped for cash at the minute, especially since she's just had a new clutch and rear shockers.
    as for the remap, i'd say it was pretty likely if it revs to 7k, mine cuts out at 6.5

    Ya i would say it ravs to 7.3 ish and pulls and pulls it comes to live about 5k amzing lol will load some more photos off it now give me 5 mins got to take some

    nice motor dude. get one of alpina's m50 & bbtb kits n you'll be grinning ear to ear. you may as well do the asc delete while you're at it n all ha ha. the rubber boot's only £12 from the dealers

    the asc is bmw's very old school traction control system. if you're gonna fit one of alpina's big bore throttle bodies, then your asc throttle body (having a smaller bore) will act as a bottleneck in the air intake, and make buying a fancy bbtb a waste of money.
    it's a very straight forward diy mate, just google asc delete
