I disabled mine today and cant believe the difference it makes. it sounds nice and gruff on low rpm. I urge all of you with the valve especially 6 pot owners to go outside right now pull the little vacuum pipe off the round thing attatched to the rear silence just behind the bumper and stick a little bolt in it. I'm tempted not to go for a back box now

is this a 328i thing, or it goes for the 323i as well?
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.

lol, true, supersprint headers plus track pipe = one happy me! but i wasn't asking for me. mine is a 325i anyway. a friend of mine has a 323i i was thinking that maybe he'd fancy that.
