    Hi guys

In the next week or so im having the clutch and gearbox changed on my car. My mate who is doing the work has suggested a lightened flywheel whilst we are at it. I have been reading about the m20 single mass flywheel but was just wondering if someone could tell me exactly what i need? Thanks

flywheel, clutch and starter motor from an m20. The flywheel will foul the flywheel housing at the bottom near the sump but its only a bit of casting and cna easily be ground off.

    really?

I fitted an m20 flywheel to an m50 and also to a m52b28 - but those engines were fitted into an e21 with the old m20 gearbox. I didnt get any rubbing.

Do you mean the bell housing on the later e36 boxes need a bit grinding off?
