I bought a heat shield last week and fitted it this weekend.
All I can say is WOW, the car was struggling with the intake of hot air and was bogging down, h/s fitted and she is sweet as a nut again.
The h/s arrived well packed (you’ll see what I mean when urs arrives):rofl:rofl
Looks awesome- all powder coated and pre cut -it’s a work of art!!!
Total fit time, bout an hour with a brew and *** break.
You need to make the intake pipe fit, mine was a 45 deg bend but was just too long, chopped and now fits perfectly.
The rubber strips i used accross the top are bonnet rubbers (from an e36) and then i used a little bit of tubbing to sit between the precut hole and the intake pipe (see pic)
Anyway wanted to just post a few pics to say thanks and inspire the rest of u to buy one. Deffo worth the £££:thumbsup:thumbsup
Hi bill, these look amazing an very professional, was wondering if your still making them? if so are you able to PM me, would be very interested in purchasing one from you
Many thanks Hugo
Hi Gunner 1, I dont suppose you can make a heatshield for the e46 323i? I have an induction kit on but could really use some protection for it? I can send pictures of the engine bay area if this will help? The design is only a little different to e36 6 cylinder engine.
Thanks
Steve.
