But if it's going to upset people, I'll just throw it in the skip, I just thought it might help somebody out with their E36 project.

I don't even want much for it, I just want it out of my way.

But ok, if it might upset people, it's no longer up for grabs, unless you want to go to my local landfill at Slinters quarry, Cromford.

I just think that is daft, I have BMW parts that are going cheap, and might help out a fellow forum member, but I'm not allowed to post them up for sale in the right section, because I've only posted on here when I've got something to say, rather keep posting pointless rubbish all the time.

Would 1 of the mods be willing to post my ad in the right section?
( I doubt it, I'll probably get moaned at for breaking the rules, it's not like I've abused or upset anyone, or have I?)
You could always sell it on eBay cheaply?

The forum rules are there because there have been a few issues where people have lost money, paying for goods etc.

It's unfortunate, but the rules are only designed to protect people - not everyone is honest.

It's just a bit annoying when you've got stuff that might be useful to others.

It's my policy, if I'm a member of a relevant forum, I'll offer it to the members of that forum 1st, before I throw it, or sell it on eBay.
I'm not bothering putting it all on eBay, I'll just stick the dash and a few other select bits on eBay, the rest will hit the skip tonight and tomorrow, as it comes out.

dude, im in the same boat- its not only 100 posts its also being a member for 3 months IIRC. this is because of past people abusing the system. its been ruined for the rest becasue of the few.

i know what ur saying but if they bend the rules for you - then everyone will want the same.

post it on ebay as a breaking car - then tell people the link. you are allowed to advise people of it location (other members point to ebay and PH adds - so guesing that is cool???) but actively sell due to the rules.

good thread tho, really liking the prgress - is this the santa pod event or a different one?

Yep, seen it, sat in it, drove it(a short distance), 27 litres is just about enough for a car!!!

Bigman, Yes it's the Santa Pod £999 event, I've just come in from fitting the 325i manifold, it sound's good, but I've had the little vaccuum pipe come off under the manifold, so it won't tick over.

So, in the morning, I've just got to get the pipe back on, refit the wheels, and get it on the trailer.

There's 7 BMW's racing, I'm hoping to be in the top couple of BMW's, not sure where i'll come in the challenge though (there is a Saab 9000 with nearly 600bhp entered!!).
Anything in the top half I'll be happy with.

Not really, it's FWD, has an open diff, and is liable to blow up on it's first run!!
Chances are it will have serious traction issues, esspecially if it's damp/wet.

The guy who's got it, has fitted a Holset turbo, off of a JCB Fast Trac, and done his own re-mapping. The car was a £200 MOT failure.

Well I came 4th on the drag run part of the £999 with a time of 14.44secs!!

My mates, Robert-Darren (2nd driver on 328i) and Jamie, have had a team grudge match, it may have gone a little too far...
