    Guys input needed!!
My 328 sport only made 213 bhp/190 lbs/foot torque on a dyno run at Dastek on friday past.4th gear full pelt!! should this have been done in 5th and if so how much am i missing? was a bit on the warm side at the dyno at 24.5 c but would that have made a difference also?
Should have made alot more in my opinion but feels damn quick right through the rev range and pulls hard all the way to the limiter.
    mods done-
    m50 manifold & throttle body
    US s50 cams
    m3 lsd
    k&n cai
    scorpion exhaust
    unichip

Has original nikasil block but running sweet at 124k with nothing to indicate otherwise-starts on the button/doesen't use oil etc etc.
Gonna get a compression test done in the next few days just for peace of mind.
What am I missing?? or has normal wear & tear left me well short.
Although I am happy with the way the car delivers power as a paper exercise extremely dissapointed!!
    Any thoughts??

that aint too bad concidering the milage mate. they only come with 193bhp standard so with these mods i would be happy with that
N/A are not the easiest to tune to get massive BHP figures

hear you buddy but was hoping to be sitting around 230ish.
lots of other cars claim 220bhp with m50 manifold/throtle body + remap alone?
do my dyno charts look healthy in terms of power delivery?(not very clued up)
Just feels a massive let down!!

I can understand your disappointment as I have been there

I spent a thousand pounds on my 318is and results showed that I had LOST 7.5bhp

Wear and tear will take it's toll unfortunately

I will be having another rolling road session some time soon to see what the effects of my conversion are. I'd like to be thinking 300bhp once my de-cat section has been fitted but there's doubt in my mind

    What were you expecting?

very true "claimed bhp" aint always true. a factory engine with them mods with no wear on it may reach them figures but i doubt that a engine with 120k+ miles on will reach that sort of increase. i would be happy with that mate, that aint bad at all

There are so many factors that can effect the figures that it makes you wonder if it's really worth doing.

I would be looking for someone to analyse the curves you have achieved rather than look at the end figure because you could have the same run done on 10 different rollers and they all end up showing different results... I say it's all on the day and so many figures are BS anyway

the dyno operater should've indicated whether there were any problems...surely?
did he say it was fuelling ok all through the rev range?
i would suspect incorrect fuel atomisation and rich running at the top end
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

i say you should be getting more.. maybe around 220-225bhp. there must me something wrong with it. you should check i for faults. my 325i, with 220.000 mileage and less modded than yours (panel filter, de-cat exhaust and chip) put down 210 bhp. your 328i should have at least 220, especially with those cams. so, imo, something is wrong. factors that could influence the result: poor quality fuel, engine being too hot, clogged cats and many more. i would definitely check it, maybe something comes up. i dont think there's anything wrong with the motor itself, but maybe something electrical, dunno, sensors, AFM, lambda, fuel pump - just shots in the dark, i'm not a mechanic, but you should ask one. good luck!
