I'm going to be doing the M50 conversion soon, and am then obviously gonna want to be letting it breathe a bit better

I have a uprated backbox already,a mate of mine said fitting an M3 middle section and manifolds would help,is this true and possible?

If not, what other on-a-budget-ish alternatives are there?

Am pretty sure the middle section would be same as what you already have, but the Manifolds should definately make a difference, supposeably The Throttle body intake manifold is supposed to make a big difference on the M50, i had one just a little while ago, I do have a M50 Engine and Auto Gearbox if the need comes however, which i can sort out pretty cheap,

s50 exhausts do bolt up with minimal modification. They also do get you more torque throughout the rev range. the dual s50 pipes use a larger pipe so they are a bit of a mission to attach to m50/2 exhaust parts. If you can get the whole s50 system. Back boxes alone do bugger all and are more there just for sound
