Hey guys, am looking for a cheaply priced backbox or full system for my E36 323 petrol, and found a Remus backbox for a 325 TDS. Would this fit a 323i petrol?

Also, are the innards the same between a petrol and diesel exhaust? Or would it be louder on the petrol car cos the turbo acts AS a silencer up front.

Hi Charley I'm almost That they are completely different.

There are very few companies that actually list performance exhausts for the 325tds so you did well to find that one

Speak to motechmike about the Scorpion exhausts and member discounts

The Bore size of the pipe is USUALLY larger in diameter than a petrol exhaust

    Hi there CharleyNokia

There's a similar thread HERE about back boxes for diesels, it's specifically discussing back boxes for the E46
but the Exhaust Manufacturers mentioned are the same.

Ok, fanx guys. For those looking for an exhaust backbox, Elite has 1 listed for an E36 325 TDS by Remus if anyone is interested.

How involved do you want to get? There's a nice upgrade of fitting the twin pipe 328 system to the 323. A second hand 328 system is not that much...

I can't remember the exact details, but I know they have been posted on here before!
