hi guys just fitted a gen 2 k and n induction kit to my 1997 323i. really struggled to get it in there and had to bodge and cadge it a bit to fit it. i found the main problem was the heat shield brackets that mount it to the body of the car didnt seem to fit very well at all. also the fitting guide on kandn seemed to use a 328i as the basis for its fitting instructions. well i eventually got it in there and it now sounds amazing with a really good roar to it. all in all took me about two hours. just wanted to know if anyone else has had probs fitting theirs.

Surely it's exactly the same though? 323 airbox (and hence the mounts, etc) is exactly the same part as a 328, nothing else is different in that corner of the bay as far as I know.

Might have just been a dodgy kit, it does happen sometimes. I just cheated and made my own to fit my huge Pipercross cone.
