    hi everybody,
    just got a german 316i e36 left hander which ill be tinkering with in the near future. basically ill be looking for advice on how to make it go faster!
    low rev throttle response is pretty poor but picks up about 5 grand, possibly need to fit tappets so is a cam the way forward??http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...s/confused.gif

    the best thing you can do is either swap the engine for a bigger one or buy a e36 with a bigger engine to get the most out of your coin
    alot of problems with smaller engines is you can throw loads of money at them but without much return and reliability comes into play as well when you can just throw in a bigger engine and get more power reliably

    if that makes sense to anyone i will be quite surprised

    thanks for a prompt response, so what do i go for? 325 engine, do i have to get the loom with the engine, fuel pump, ecu, what else? im no stranger to engine swaps so i prefer to know in advance what problems i might face.
    engine mountings, gearbox compatability?
    again thanks for your advice, and it makes perfect sense...
