hi as i am looking to buy a e36 m3 3.0l i have seen in total bmw this month that they say it's best to fit arp rod bolts and shells,
is it an easy job to do and is it ok to just fit new shells and bolts i dont want to have more problems down the road,

you dont need that on standard engine, people doing that when they rebuild engine for stronger applications imo, they wont do any harm but i cant see point fitting them to standard engine.

if the engine has done a lot of miles is it worth doing anyway just thinking of starting with a strong base if to chip it later, but if it a lot of work i have to think about,
