OK Ive done a 328i conversion with m50 manifold as some of you might know.
now the car runs, starts first time every time, but cuts out after 30 seconds or around abouts.will stay running if you leave foot on the gas.now the engine was sitting for a year or so. now i'm looking at getting the engine tuned to the best it can be! but i do not know where to start or whats needed to accomplish this?. im learning as i go along, so some steps to follow would be good. thanks in advance. i will carry on reading reading reading on this.

Was the car running ok before you changed the manifold?
If so then it's most likely an air leak, idle valve or similar problem with the manifold conversion. Did you follow any instructions and/or use a conversion kit?

the car never ran before the engine change, and the manifold change.it was a project changing from 318is to 328i,so i don't know, the manifold was engineered properly and vacuums checked and replaced..Ive been told that the idle valve doesn't really fail,(rarely) it stayed running before i put the scorpion back box on this week?
