I have fitted a scorpion back box and a dave f (KN) induction kit to my 328.

Scorpion back box is lovely sounding very very deep exhaust note system, but over 5000rpm it sorta drowns out.

Thinking of removing the silencers out the midsection BUT DO NOT WANT TO REMPOVE MY CATS, ive heard plenty of decatted 328s and its not the sound i want to go for.

Anyone removed silencers on their e36 6 cyclinder before and got good results??????

Most exausts over 5k don't sound as good as they do around 3k or so iv found! The nice deap notes are low revs to much escaping at once on high revs

chaseman did you have to replace the silencers with pipes or isit just a case of removing the out pipe casing or the baffle inside the pipes?

This is how headers and straight pipes with medium borla muffler sound like:

But I'll be honest about it, it's quite loud and can get quite annoying on long trips. I hope it helps.
There are only two products required to make the universe work properly: Duct tape and WD40.

If it moves (and it shouldn't): duct tape.
If it doesn’t move (and it should): WD40.

    Everything else is just stuff.
