    hi new to forum and bmw's although my parents had lots ov them ,ive just got a 323i black e36 coupe the guy i got it of said it was chipped and it has an its got a powerflow exaust from the centre back is there any quick not that expensive ways to gain more power any tips would be gratefull thanks

    with none turbo cars any kind of mod is never really going to add massive hp, i wouldn't take what the seller said as gospel either, maybe a little cynical but people can say whatever they like at the end of the day.

    Change the cam. Good mod for not too much money. Nice easy job.

    Welcome to the forum, please title your threads as per forum rules in future.

    There are a few easy ways to get more power from the E36 323. First on the list would have to be the M50 manifold conversion available by PM'ing Alpina527.

    yeah i didnt take it as the truth is there anyway i can find out if its been chipped? and how easy is it to change the cams timewise? thanks for replies do u know where it should be idleing as mine looks like its halfway between o and 1000 rpms thanks peps

    so your idle is around 500? seem around normal in my experience, possibly a tad low, and i mean a tad.

    its covered 162000 miles and tha car came wiv no paper work or history is there anything i should look out for?

    a full service is the first thing that i would do as you don't know how long it is since it was last serviced.
