    hi all just brought a coupe and would like to know what mods i can do to it to make it pick up a bit better happy with top end but need to get there a bit quicker

    Get an M50 manifold and remap-you can also put a Dave-f induction kit on your M50 manifold for that extra oomphh..............Alpina527 a mamber here does custom manifolds for your car which is a direct replacement so give him a pm and see what he says-I think the go for around £400+

    as above post - m50 manifold

    also you could fit the twin exhaust system from a 328, and look at changing diff ratios

    after all that if your still not happy some usm3 cams

    I did all of the above on my 323 and it screemed

    I used the Alpina527 kit and it's great! The engine screams alll the way up to 6500rpm. The low end is a LITTLE bit sluggish, but keep her revving and she'll fly! Also get yourself a set of recon'd injectors - they make a hell of a difference! There's a guy on ebay that sells them, here's the link:

    sorry to bump this but is this the same as a 1997 323i 2.5 24v vanos lump? and whats a dave -f induction kit? what cars had an m50? im very new to bmw's, sorry!

    325's have the M50 manifold.The dave-f is an induction kit with heatshield.
    323's have a restricted manifold on them.Alpina527 does the probably one of the best manifold conversion kits for the 323 block.............

    cheers, but ive read that cos my engine has vanos it wont fit? is this right??? any links to dave-f's threads?

    What wont fit?Tha manifold?I have an M50 with vanos so don't know what you're saying?

    ive been told i cant fit an m50 to my engine, as it wont fit due to the vanos. or was the guy just a bit of a noob? what cars have an m50 btw?

    As stated the 325 has the M50 engine and manifold-also as stated Alpina527 does the M50 manifold kit to fit the 323-or did you not read the previous posts?
