    Hey guys...

Just wondering what i could do to my 325td to make it a lill bit more nippy?

As far as im aware, performance air filters and exhausts have the same effect on diesels as they do petrol? am i correct?

If so, why is it so damn hard to find an exhaust system, or even a back box to fit my car?

Would a petrol performance system be suitable?

Iv also heard the exhaust has to be angled down slightly, why is this?

Forgive me 4 being thick as 2 short planks, but this is my 1st TD car n i dnt know much about diesel

    Cheers guys

yes change it for a petrol engine....

Your exhaust is angled down so it soots the road and not the traffic behind you

Chip and de-catted stainless exhaust with a replacement and filter

How far do you want to go? There is also an uprated turbo now available along with injectors

Possible to turn the boost up,not sure how much though.Angled exhaust lets the fumes get dragged out of exhaust by the air rushing past it as you drive at speed creating a vacuum, the rolled edge tailpipes do the same thing. You could remove the exhaust and open up the cat on the top edge and remove its innards and then weld it back up.I have had the flexi section fall apart on my tds downpipe, split 3/4 of the way round and apart from a whistle and a deeper noise at tick over you would not notice anything wrong with it,there was not any performance gain to be had though,if you remove your back box and start the car it will just boom a little more at low revs, the turbo absorbs all the noise. The enemy of the tds is heat so make sure your cooling system is top notch. For some instant extra power mix 30 vegetable oil to diesel and put in tank, this will liven it up a bit giving around 15% more power overall.
