    These seem to be widely used on fords and such like ad seem to be motorsport based, albeit mainly for card on bodies but has anyone ever tried fitting one to a standard E36, should mean instant accelleration with no pause on throttle down shoudnt it? Also would increasing the pressue from 3.5 bar to 3.7 bar be useful?

    Not really.

    If you turn up fuelling by increasing pressure the lambda feed back will try to lean it away, go too far and you will have faults or a dead cat. People on throttle bodies map with the pressure they use.

    Plus you would have to come up with a way to remove the old one and adapt it to the rail. Most often these days part of them is casr / pressed into the standard rail.

    A turbo style "bleed off" in the vacuum pipe would probably do the same

    ok well would fitting one in the engine bay at 3.5 bar give better throttle response?
