Have put my remapped 2.5tds e36 into an old classic car that had crippling fuel costs- and now can afford to drive it again !
Completely BMW standard engine bay installation and layout. everything BMW re used.
The ecu was re mapped by a previous owner. For the year, great torque above 2K revs (well flat below that), but from reading these forums it appears I could/ should install a bigger intercooler to improve efficiency ?
I have LOTS of room, and good access, is there an obvious choice of a bigger intercooler with similar plumbing layout ? ,
second query, is there any point in using a different free flow air filter (i.e. real gain) ??? Or is the standard filter pretty much OK?
(purpose of my classic car diesel, is economical long distance tourer- its a 2 seat convertible, doesnt weight too much, but would love occasionally to burn off a corsa driver !)
