    Hi all,

Had no success in selling the car and had a deal fall through on a Cossie I wanted, so thinking of putting my old engine into a garage and getting it build back up with low compression ready for a charger or turbo.

My only problem is, I have no idea what I want.. I would like a turbo over a charger but if the turbo is going to cost loads more then it really dont bother me.

Want at least 400bhp at the wheels and dont want it braking down all the time.

The car is a pure toy, nothing more nothing less, never goes out of my county and is not needed for long jorneys.

First off, who shall I be asking for advice and what garages are capable of doing this?

Second, any ideas on a price? Dont want to be done up like a kipper, been told certain people can build one of these engines up in a day but told by others its a weeks work.

Also, how do I stand on chucking the engine in with someone, and getting it done over time, so say I give them a lump sum of money ever couple months to do a bit more and keep going until its finished...?

How would I get on with the gearbox? with that kind of power, will I be constantly buying new ones or rebuilding them?

The diff? capable or not? heard the Evo diff is the one to go for with uprated carriar? or is this not a good idea?

Any info would be great lads.

Someone mentioned that their friend had their m3 supercharged over near thruxton. Thruxton is about 7 miles down the road and i can only think he was on about these guys: http://www.west-tuning.com/ who have a connection with these guys: http://www.amdtechnik.com/ who also might be worth phoning for ideas.

    Anyone else?
