I know the thing, I use a hot air solder station, it blows air at 300 deg C in a tiny jet so you just wave it over the pads you need to take off.
Resoldering is usually the old fashioned solder iron but it is the unsoldering where you frequently need to get a number of pads all at the right temp before you pull them off.
