Hi All looking to add a couple of mods to my car BMW 320i 1994 model
now i am no boy racer i am not after extra BHP or nothing like that just a few things to help my old girl in her older years.

The 1st being what benifit would i get from fitting some kind of K&N cone filter? would it help the engine run better/cooler or even sound a bit more throaty??.

(i know the following won't do much for the running of the car but i like them)

I was thinking of adding som lexus stil lights to the rear any thoughts on this??

also some clear indicator lenses would be good along with some side ones too.
and last of all i do like the Audi style angel eyes light's but there are so many different ones to choose from ,i hear horror stories of some being very poor and only lasting a few weeks some letting in water is there any kind of make out there that has been tried and tested??
sorry for the list but just thinking out loud
    cheers Keith

i would be very wary of fitting an oiled filter to any vehicle with a maf tbh...the oil can drop out of suspension and contaminate the air sensor. pipercross or itg foam filters get a good review on here. bear in mind that you'll need a cold air feed and/or a heat shield fitted to retain driveability.
lexus lights = no, unless a lexus (imho)
getting rid of the orange can only be a good thing, so thats a yes to clear repeaters.
dunno about audi lights on a bmw...clue is in the name???...how about some angel eyes?
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

Lexus rear lights look awful, sorry if you didn't want to hear this but they are horrid on any car apart from the Lexus model they were designed for. E36 crystal clears are much nicer, like these, http://www.motorspeed.com/store_main...roduct_id=1541

the lexus lights are off the list as i too think the E36 crystal clears are far far better looking (thanks for the link)

Will defo be fitting the clear indicators (maybe even tomorrow)

don't worry i am not easy offended and i do appriciate your honesty this is why i posted the thread in the 1st place

I'd thought about a K&N panel filter at one time after reading that the BMW standard airbox is actually very efficient & poorly installed cone setups reduce power. Wasn't too keen in the end as there didn't seem to be any real benefit apart from the longer life & I know the oil isn't great for the later MAFs. Mines the earlier hot wire MAF which wouldn't be so affected but there just didn't seem to be any real gain.
Like the other guys I really hate those Lexus rear lights & didn't even like them on the original Lexus is200. They really don't do anything for a BM & there are many far classier options - sorry it's just my opinion.

Yep, they're nice. red & clear for a light coloured car & red & smoked for a dark coloured car is far better than those awful lexus tat.
