    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good remap (chip) tuner. I have asked E-Maps but they dont remap cars before 1996 anymore (shame I didn't live to far away from E-Maps).

Simon (E-maps) advised my car needs to be chipped as it can't be remapped.

    Can anyone recommend anyone?

Simon is spot on that it needs a chip on your car. There is a company in birminham i know of called http://www.diamondperformance.co.uk . I must stress that i am in no way affiliated with them and have never even spoken to them so I don't know how good or bad they are, but they do chipping and might be worth a call. Hope this helps a little. Or try Motechmike to see if he's anywhere near you and if he does chipping.
P.s The mods will pick you up on this! You have posted this querie in the wrong section, so they will probably move this thread later on.

To be honest, i would'nt chip it mate !!! I've had cars chipped before, and unless its got a turbo, i just dont think the £££'s match up with the punch, or lack of it on a non turbo car. The only thing you may notice is a smoother power delivery, with less flatspots,,, if your car has any?
This is only my opinion and im sure others will tell you theirs. My money would just be to stick a decent induction kit on it, as its a big heavy 2 litre, its not gonna break any landspeed records whatever you do to it, But with the air filter will make it sound like a beast

    Thanks Guys!

I have a K&N Panel filter on it at the moment and a SS cat-back exhaust (not to loud) I'm quite happy with the way it sounds.

It is a heavy car the 2.0 litre engine seems a bit under powered sometimes, so I considered chipping it.

I tried Diamond Performance but they can't chip this car, they only remap the cars now.

Seems like no one does it anymore to be honest.
