hi all. i was just wondering how can i add arround 20-40hp to my 325i without putting a turbo/super charger in (cheaper). i know that air filter and exhaust adds some horse power to it. but just wondering if there are more ways, like changing someting, adding something? thanks for the info

the only way you'll get that kind of increase would be with some internal engine work such as blue printing the bottom end, fitting more aggresive cams and a ported/polished cylinder head. you would also need to have the injection mapped to get the most from the modifications

US M3 cams, bbtb, and a remap are fairly simple to add, and will move things along nicely.

After that, you can extend to boring it to 86.4mm and stroking it with a 330 crank for a 3.2 capacity

if u use us m3 cams u will havea clearance problem valve to piston u will need to change the pistons too or have them cut for the valves. i did that m3 cam swap only to find that out after bending up a fe valves its not a direct bolt in as u may think.

had no idea.. always thought of that as a perfect bolt-on. was your engine vanos or non-vanos?
