Hi everyone. Got a question about the US spec 3 Ltr M3 cams.
I got a set on the way here from accross the pond but Im not sure how to time the engine up when fitting them
Do I just use the timing lockout kit and time it as I would with my normal cams?

Which cams you got coming the S50 or S52 one's?
M52 or US S52 cams won't go into an M50 unless you change the cam carriers

Get him to measure the lobe height. It should be 47.7mm. Stock 325 cams are 47mm and have the same part number cast into them as the S50 cams

the part numbers do show its and S50 engine but I think he already sent them out. Will check as soon as I get them. Would I time them up like I would time up my normal cams?

I suggest you get this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Performance-...0287548&sr=8-1 It explains quite well how to change the cams.It is also definately a 2 man job or else you will end up snapping the cams,as advised by the book

If your motor is a 92 then it wont have vanos?
if so the cams wont fit as they are for a vanos motor

There is of course another work arrond for cams on a non vanos motor where you only need to buy one preformance cam
