    hi. im thinking of buying a Sandtler or K&N air filter of 100mm pipe connection. do u think its good enough or i should get a bigger one. this one for future if i will want to put a turbocharger someday.

    If you are fitting a induction kit then you should fit a heat shield as otherwise you'll only draw in hot air.

    let me know where you get your steel from please, i've been trying to source some cheap steel for a few months now.

    well i live in lithuania so i just go to car junk yard and ask for steel plate. i think same works in uk or buy a steel bucket from shop/mall and then just cut it

    the local DIY places here want £30 for a 2ft by 3ft piece of steel!!!

    From my experience I would just use a high flow panel filter in the standard air box. The airbox takes cold air from the front and is shielded from engine heat. If you can do a good job of a shield and get some cold air from somewhere, then do that !
