Hello in the future maybe I might change my engine once it goes. But that could be along time maybe with being only 102,000miles and fsh. Just getting idea's maybe in the future.

    Anyway wats needed to swap the e34 520i 24v 150bhp engine to the 525i 24v 192bhp engine?

As your will be a pre EWS you will need a pre EWS engine. You will need the engine, gearbox and engine loom. The rest will be plug and play.
IMO you are better off getting a complete 525i as you will then have everything you need, as an MOT fail is so cheap thats the way forward...

Yes, they are different engines. The E34 525 uses the M50. The E39 528 uses the M52. The 2.8 does have more torque.

They are different engines in the respect that the m52 is an alloy block as opposed to iron and it has a longer stroke crank but it is fitted with the narrow runner inlet manifold from the 2.0L engine to restrict power due to german insurance bands or sommit. So you get a lighter, torqier engine that only produces 1 more bhp than the E34 2.5. daft init.
You can apparently fit the wide manifold off the E34 2.5 to release some power though.
The E36 323 / E39 523 were also restricted in the same way.
