I was told that by removing the cat of my car that it may free a few pony,s.
The race 318,s had no cat in the exhaust, and my car is only for track use so i had a go today.
But the cat dosnt unbolt its part of the front pipe and is on a bend, so was unable to just by-pass it with a straight pipe, so instead i cut a hole in the cat and removed all its insides, and welded back up.
Now i think it does feal a bit better, revs easyer.
But its now noisy, a high pitched raspy whine!
Is this wot a 318is sounds like with no cat?
Or is it due to the hollow cat box?
Is it worth having a pipe made up to replace the hollow cat?
More fun and games .
