Hey guys, runflat warning light came on in the car the other day. Every time I start the car the light comes on and there is a beep. Checked all the tyres and they are fine and I am pretty sure there are no runflats on the car. Is this just a case of a faulty sensor?
dont know about the e46 but my brothers e90 did this, the stealer blamed faulty sensors said it was common, however all his alloys were cracked not good also common
If it's the same as the M car there's no specific sensor, it uses data from the wheel speed sensors. If you're sure all the pressures are ok there's a procedure to reset it (in the manual) it involves holding the button down until the light goes yellow then driving, but you've got to do it exactly right or it doesn't work.
Cheers
JM
