2001 E46 330i - Smoking

As the per the title really. Took it to BMW yesterday they did a health check on it and said it was fine on emissions and everything was working just as it should but could not explain why it was smoking even at normal running temperature. I understand the weather is a factor but even during warmer conditions its still there, not a smoke screen but just enough to see in the mirror before it disapears.

it's not smoke, it's steam. Mine does the same, and I've asked on here and other forums about it, apparently it's normal on these cars.

Keep an eye on your coolant level, if it's not dropping then you're ok.

Yep, just condensation, no worries a lot of cars do it in the winter.

Always bin abit paranoid myself about that but just
Put it down to cold weather and condensation.

Same here, the old gal has done 101000+ miles, she enjoys the odd smoke every now and again, burns oil, tears up tyres and sometimes rattles but hey she still manages to scare me sometimes with her ability to reach triple figure speeds amazingly quick So long as you keep her maintained, fed and watered you'll get miles and miles of fun out of her........
