    Hi,

Owned my 320D with 89k since January, its a great car but since owning it, it had a slight vibration at idle which can be felt by holding the steering wheel (and also you can see the image of the rear view mirror vibrating).

Today I noticed if I accelerate hard in 1st gear, the lever would pull to the right (it didn't do this before). It moves a bit in other gears but not as much.

From the above symptoms would you think the engine, gearbox or both mounts are gone?

I plan to do them both anyway as im getting a remap soon but which would be more important to change first to prevent further damage being caused?

    Thank you

That sounds like the exact same issue that I had mine was the passenger side engine mount I had both mine changed
On a diff note mine now seems to have a different prob with gear stick but feels like the linkage
Check your mounts by loading the engine and looking at the mounts for play you will need one of your mates to help

    Don't get run over!

Another way is to carefully jack the engine up & see where/if it lifts from any mounts.

My one also split its NS mount, if I pulled away a bit sharp the whole engine would lift & then drop with a thump! (also got extra induction noise at the same time from where presumable the air inlet pipe was being pulled onto something).

Sorry, I got a quick question if anyone can help please. I bought all 3 mounts. Will I be accessing the engine mounts from the bonnet or under the car?

Under the car, btw engine only has 2 mounts AFAIK, or did you mean the 3rd one is the g/box mount?

When you say 'wobble' do you mean it's floppy? or it vibrates or moves about in a particular way? (might be worth starting a new thread btw)
