hi i've got a 1998 bmw e36 318IS saloon with the M44 engine, the exhaust on mine has a single pipe and am just wondering will any of the twin pipe exhausts fit onto mine? i mean like the ones off the 6 cylinder ones i know the 328 has a twin pipe. any advice is more than welcome
thanks in advance
I've had a twin 3" Cybox stainless catback put on mine, all we had to do was move one of the hangers so it would fit and I also put on an m3 diffuser which saved me cutting the black plastic strip on the bottom of the bumper so it can be done by replacing the exhaust...
You might be able to replace just the backbox but may be more work with cutting/ bending etcetc
yeah there is a bloke at work with a 328 he keeps poking fun about the pea shooter lol, will have a scour on ebay for a diffuser and see what the prices are like on the scorpion backboxes, anyone know what the noise is like with the scorpion i don't want it blaring all the time just purring nicely if you know what i mean but i want people to know when i boot t through a tunnel lol.
cheers for the help
Check out cybox as coastie said, and if you have a look at my project thread of the green iS (1st link below my sig) there is a video comparing the standard exhaust to the cybox one.
Personally I preferred the cybox as it wasn't as loud as a scorpo but folks still knew you were around :rofl
Cybox are on eBay which is where I bought the centre silencer to go with the backbox, mine is the cat back
