At the question at the bottom, the seller says 'it has a limited slip diff boot, it spins both wheels'. I have never heard of this before, has anyone else? If the buyer is here, could you explain?
That's how I read it, too. There certainly is no such thing as a diesel M3 though, and despite what it says on the description that doesn't look like a convertible to me :confused
Some 325's did come with LSD but it was only towards the end before they started making 328's and it was only certain models. The only way to tell for sure is to go see it and lift the rear and turn the wheels. If you turn one and the other turn then its LSD.It a 325 with some M upgrades on it.Its not an M3 and he isn't very good at describing the car.Probably English is not his first language.
chock the front wheels
jack up the rear so both wheels off the floor
car out of gear and handbrake off
turn one of the rear wheels
if the opposite one turns in the SAME direction then you have an lsd
if it turns in the opposite direction then its a standard open diff
Right i think I get it now. I was confused by the lack of punctuation!
The 325TDS did not come with an LSD as standard as far as I know. The LSD would surely have a shorter final drive than the standard TDS. Unless he's put one in of course.
I think maybe he's added 'm3' and 'sport' just to get in the search results.
Also just noticed a lack of EGR pipe in the engine bay.
Not bad for 1200 tho, these cars are getting quite sought after now.
