    Hi Mike,

Since there has just been a massive forum upgrade, can you confirm if this is actually a current problem and that the thread was posted yesterday>?!

You say there are NO fault codes?

Who has read them and using what equipment?

P1253 is equivalent to BMW code 41A2, "charge air pressure actuator"

    Activation, Open circuit.

Thanks for looking this up, is the charge air pressure actuator part of the turbo or is it seperate!!!!
I am 4 months out of warranty, have spoken to my local stealer and they are talking of a possible contribution on amounts over 100. if it is the turbo that sounds dear!!
I still cannot get my head round why the car is perfect until it warms up,on the way to work it looses power in same road every day!!!!

    It's the interference from 2CR

I do know that the pressure converters have a air filter built in and have heard that they get very dirty, so people clean them out and it's helped with problems, see #1 here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...36&hg=11&fg=45

IIRC the actuator is part of the turbo, I shall see if I can dig some info up for you
