    Hello!

Don't know if I'm In the right place for this post but I'll give it a try I'm new! :

I just purchased a 2012 F30 320D and I was wondering if there is any way I can upgrade to the LED headlights. I don't need the adaptive headlights but I just want the halo rings since I have the halogen headlights which Dosent look very good.

Is there any place in the U.K. that can upgrade to the LED headlights because I've asked BMW and they don't do them. I have researched a few different businesses but can't find one so far..

If anyone has done the conversion to the OEM LED headlights or so even split the headloghts to add Halo rings on the halogen headlights please could you advise me where I can convert mine and show some pictures!

Also the other day I was getting the low beam bulb changed from Halfords but the guy did not know how to take the bulb out. The whole head unit was moving so do you think he would
Of damaged he bulb holder or the headlights?

    Many thanks!

This has been asked previously and not cheap

2013 F30 318D - Upgrade lights from Halogen to Halo

I would not take a 2012 BMW to Halfords and let kids try to change the bulb.
They are just guessing and would do more damage than good.

Some bulbs replacing needs the wheel and mudguard to be removed so either take to a local specialist or tackle the job yourself if you confident.

Got the exact same car as you. I had standard halogen bulbs.

A year ago I replaced them with cree error free led bulbs (bought from eBay) for parking lights and DRL alongside with H7 Phillips extreme vision which gave a really white look compared to the yellowish look. If you are looking for that then that is the best method. They were working fine for a couple of months but then error started popping up on odd occasions on the dash board. I put up with that for a good few months.

Anyways, just yesterday, I have just collected the car with my new headlights and my main reason here as well as a new member. I have just had a bi xenon conversion done with angel eyes fitted. Pictures attached. It needs to be coded, which I will be taking my car to do tomorrow. Saying this, conversion on a f30 comes with plenty of complications as its so difficult to access; but possible! To access the dipped and high beam bulbs, the cover is under the wheel arches- a hassle to get to! Plus if you want a full conversion done, then you would need the whole bumper off.

Where about in UK do you live? I can PM you the person who done my headlights. Right now my dipped beams are flickering, hopefully sorted out tomorrow but its heating up my lenses which is another issue.

    Hi..

Not sure if you have found a solution to your Halogen headlight upgrade, but seeing as i'm the same boat and found a solution I though you might be interested .

I have found a company in North London that will replace my Halogens with Genuine New Non adaptive LED headlights, including retrofit Wiring loom, and fully code them for £2k.

As the LED lights come up on Ebay for between £ 1700 & £3000, this is not a bad price as they come with 12 months warranty on parts and coding..

I'm in to have them fitted over the next week or so ( waiting for lights to come in from BMW in Germany ) but will give you my feedback and some photos once they are done ..
