Hi guys I have a 320d e90 se and I'm looking at lowering it using m sport shocks and springs. What I'm wondering is what make are they and where's the best place to source them? I have the springs so I'm just after the shock absorbers.

    Thanks in advance

I believe the SE uses Sachs shocks and the m sport uses bilstein.
I got my bilstein shocks off ebay with eibach lowering springs. But you Can get the shocks only.

I would choose eibach pro kit springs if I were you and Bilstein B4 dampers. It will ride really nice.

I used these on my rear; http://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/sachs-781688.html

The onlinecarparts website does tell you if they are m sport or not. Whereas ECP tries to give you the SE dampers.

Tbh if you are doing the lot probably best to go with racey1979 suggestion and get a full custom setup - the m sport setup is not that special really vs an SE

Many thanks for the advice people. racey1979 do you have this set up? Just wondering what the rides like as ideally I'm after a bit of comfort along with lower ride height. I know it's a big ask to marry both.

If you want comfort I wouldn't lower your car with eibach.
I've got eibach springs pro kit. Just a tad lower then m sport apparently and I hate the ride quality!
Definitely sporty, but not comfy at all.

Have to say I haven't been in an e90 with eibach, I had this on a e46 and the ride was fine. It was firm but certainly not harsh. I was actually thinking of putting them on my e91 but having second thoughts now after what you have said.

I have an SE and I upgraded to bilstein and eibach with all new suspension components too.
I think if you live in a decent city with nice smooth roads they would be great! But I live in an area where its mainly villages and country roads where the roads are not terrible but no exactly smooth and I hate the ride. I also only have 17" alloys :/
On smooth roads there great, but there terrible other bumps and holes. And I also believe there dangerous on county roads that are really uneven, they just cant soak up the bumps.

Roads round are terrible as well. If I got the blistein shocks will they work with oem m sport springs? Are the oem springs more forgiving than the eibach?
