    hi guys,
I have what seems to be quite a common fault, i have the abs traction control and handbrake warning lights up, when scanned I had the code "49F2 - message (speed 0xce)" I have seen many say this is a wheel speed/ABS sensor? is there anyway of telling which of the four it is as the diagnostics didn't say a specific one?
I also had 2 swirl flap codes; "4DFF - swirl valve controller position control" and "4EON - swirl valve plausibility", does anyone know what either of these mean? I'm thinking of going safe and blanking and removing the swirl flaps but I'd like to know what those codes mean first.
    any help appreciated
    thanks
    Matt

    Hello bud,

Cant help with the swirl flaps codes but removing them is a piece of cake if you are even half useful with a spanner. Sounds like they are just sticking. As for the ABS my code reader wouldnt pick any codes up for ABS but if you have INPA it will tell you in there, all be it in german on my copy, so had to do some google translating. In my case I changed the sensor in question but am still getting the same code so it seems it may be corrosion under the reluctor ring. Which Ive heard can be a common problem too.

Recently having the same warnings come up
Only came on twice in about 2 weeks, but this when first start the car, if turn off and remove key then restart the car they don't come on again, and when I do a check it says everything ok?

Ordered a diagnostic plug in so will see if that comes up with anything when arrives

If its the ABS codes you are on about Mr.Gray I dont think they get stored by the car in the same way as other codes do, or mine dont anyway. I cant access them without INPA.

It's all 3 that are mentioned by thread poster, but this warnings don't stay, only happened twice in last 2 weeks and it doesn't come back on if switch engine off then back on again
    It's like there's a problem but there isn't?

There is a little valve under the manifold that gose to ur swirl flaps m8 it will be that replace the valve blank the swirls then leave the valve plugged in but disconnect the vac lines plug the vac line to it then remove actuator that will remove fault and swirl flaps

For inpa you need a certain cable and a program, does this program cost?

Also the fault box I've bought states it can pick up abs problems as well? So maybe but false advertising there
