In another shocking turn of events I had my car plugged in again,

    This is what followedIMG_9552.jpgIMG_9553.jpgIMG_9554.jpg

So I think it could be the MAF playing up.

The DPF error could be because of my thermostats going shot and not getting up the optimum DPF regen temperature

The glowplug error? Could be the actual glowplug? Or that other part to do with the glowplug/unit controller

On another note I bought the car from a car dealership (private not main) on the 10th October 2016, would I have a case to make the dealer pay for these repairs? I was told it was a straight car and had nothing wrong with it. I also paid party by debit card and some cash.

    Update:
    I changed the MAF sensor
    Thermostat and coolant

Apparently my n47 engine doesn't have an EGR Thermostat so will have to return that part.

Car now gets to 90 and stays around there.

Only driven 7 miles local but averaged around 25mpg so far. Will have to drive a bit more to see if it made a difference to my fuel.

Next issues are glowplugs and those "fuel rail pressure" errors. Still no lights on my dash and power seems fine.

My exhaust smelt a bit funny today so I think the DPF Tried regen for the first time in ages also my car was holding on to gears longer?

In cold weather diesels will loose a few mpg
What I can see by your post is your thermostat needed changing and you need to Regen your car a few times
Make sure you clear your faults and request a Regen
Drive your car with a full tank at a steady 75-80mph for 1 hour on the motorway

Update: fuel rail pressures and all air meter errors gone!

Apparently the pressure errors were because I recently changed my fuel Filter.

The air errors disappeared after the MAF change.

I went to MBM and they diagnosed it to 2 errors

The glowplug error and the "info" error which they explained just means the DPF is near the end of its life. Still no lights on the dash. Now I'm wondering if it's worth deleting and remapping the vehicle, could this sort my low mpg problem?

    Final update:
After months of owning this 318d n47, I'll leave on the note that I PXd it for a GTD. best decision I ever made. Didn't bother putting any money into repairs.
